Terrain- 3D and otherwise

Over the past few years the quality of terrain that has become available, whether it is kits to be assembled, or with 3D printing, has just been astounding.

I was just setting some of my Boxer Rebellion stuff out on a Saturday afternoon, so I could admire it and plan for a future game.
Some is from Sarissa, some from Knights of Dice, some Adrian's Walls and some Pandem Wargaming.

There is no way I could ever have scratch built this sort of thing. But using spray cans and dry brushing- even someone with my limited ability can make them look good!

Laying some of it out is a real treat..and on 6' x 4'....I can't fit it all....hmm...need a bigger table!! There is still a couple of boxes!

  1. Lovely, that could easily find its way to a wargame show and be a real crowd pleaser.

  4. That's some very impressive scenery John. You have done a very nice job on the paintwork, too.

  5. Wow, that does look really good. I love what 3d printing has done for wargames tables. But I still remember fondly the huge handmade walls etc that we played over a number of years ago.

  7. All the JD table layouts have been well prepared, in keeping with the well painted armies used .The above one is good enough to be in a pictorial book on wargames and or rules.
