Over the past few years the quality of terrain that has become available, whether it is kits to be assembled, or with 3D printing, has just been astounding.
I was just setting some of my Boxer Rebellion stuff out on a Saturday afternoon, so I could admire it and plan for a future game.
Some is from Sarissa, some from Knights of Dice, some Adrian's Walls and some Pandem Wargaming.
There is no way I could ever have scratch built this sort of thing. But using spray cans and dry brushing- even someone with my limited ability can make them look good!

Lovely, that could easily find its way to a wargame show and be a real crowd pleaser.
ReplyDeleteThanks Norm..I never thought of that...a wargames show...hmm.
DeleteLooks fantastic
ReplyDeleteThanks Neil...I won't take any credit. It's all premade!
DeleteAmazing, just looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard. It has come up quite nicely.
DeleteThat's some very impressive scenery John. You have done a very nice job on the paintwork, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith. The paintwork was a minimum standard!
DeleteWow, that does look really good. I love what 3d printing has done for wargames tables. But I still remember fondly the huge handmade walls etc that we played over a number of years ago.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rich- those walls and forts are still here and when I get my garage cleared from all teh clutter- I will get everything back on the table!
DeleteYes the quality of printing is great its opened up a whole new world to players. But the next thing is safe storage space... its all just too tempting...where do we put it all safely...3d print a shed scaled 1:1 ? LOL
ReplyDeleteHey GW- yes tsorage is an issue! Especially when my garage is filled with so much other stuff! An outdoor shed might be the go....3D printed too you say??
DeleteAll the JD table layouts have been well prepared, in keeping with the well painted armies used .The above one is good enough to be in a pictorial book on wargames and or rules.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sir....a pictorial book? No- I'm just happy to get a chance to use it!
