Muscovites and Poles vs the Ottomans

Well, there's lots of them- and I threw them all onto the table earlier this year.

A combined Polish and Muscovite force took on my full Ottoman army...and it was a blood bath.

Paul commanded the Muscovites, Ross the Poles and I of course commanded the mighty forces of the Sultan!!

The allied ( Poles and Muscovites)  left flank. Lithuanian and Cossack light Cavalry and next to them Pancerni and Hussars

The Ottoman right flank.
Light Cavalry- Delis, Akinjis etc and then Sipahis. Janissaries in the middle

Pancerni

The Hussars!!

The table. Allies this side. Ottomans on the far side.

Janissaries and their guns!

Approaching the allied line. In the distance on teh left of picture- in yellow and red- Streltsi Units. Then Cossack infantry then three units of Polish Haiduks with the Polish commander just behind them

Janissaries watching as the Hussars approach.

A good roll for the Turks!

SLAM!- Hussars hit the Janissaries. Now I know why the Ottomans always put their infantry behind field fortifications....and why the Hussars rode down the Ottomans at Vienna in 1683.......the Janissaries were just a speed hump here...only slowing the Hussars down ever so slightly as they tore a hole in the middle of my line.

Pancerni vs Sipahis

Hussars vs Sipahis

This picture shows.....well...the Janissaries are gone...and the Hussars are still coming forward.

Just one huge confused melee......lots of dice..lots of shooting...lots of melee...lots of swearing....

Hussars...just cleaning up.......

The Ottoman center..or whats left of it- The Hussars on the right of the picture, after wiping out the Janissaries...then turning to dish out more pain.

A big game that was violent and bloody but a good opportunity- I had all of my Ottomans, all the Poles and all the Muscovites......the result was a big win for the Allies...but the Sultan wants revenge!
It didn't require a scenario...just the opportunity to play with all my toys!
