My son wanted a game- he is creating something called a 'Death Guard'. I asked if that was some sort of sacrificial Roman unit- he told me that dad jokes weren't permitted.
So as was perfectly rational to this type of discussion, I set up a table that resembled ancient Egyptian ruins.
The table with my Tyranids to the left- his 'Death Guard' to the right. they have a big tank! |
My two Carnifexes eyeing off that big tank......like a large tin can with something tasty inside. |
His deployment |
My genestealers using the statues of some long lost civilisation as cover. |
Another units of genestealers running past fallen columns |
A good roll! |
A not so good roll. |
Playing against my son is always a treat. Although objectives were set and there was a clear scenario, we ignored this and just decided to beat the stuffing out of each other's armies.....which I narrowly won. And yes, the Tyranids did open up that large tin can and reach the soft tasty bits inside!
Looks a great game
ReplyDeleteThanks Neil- always fun when you have weird looking creatures!
DeleteSuper looking game. Extra special when it's a family event.
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard- yea playing against my son is always a highlight.
DeleteBeautiful looking terrain John - and lots of weird looking figures! Nice your son is interested, mine never was - mind you now aged 23, he does regularly supply us with fresh fish he catches or meat from deer he shoots, so can't complain too much!
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith- yes very weird figures. I do enjoy the games with him- he's 26 and we've been opponents for years..but nowhere near often enough!
